What is Digital Asset Custody?

Digital asset custody refers to the safekeeping and management of private keys that control ownership of blockchain based assets. Unlike traditional finance where a bank holds cash or securities digital asset custody requires controlling cryptographic keys. Whoever holds the keys, controls the assets.
